Malaysia - Penang - Penang Bird Park

Penang Bird Park is located in Seberang Jaya on the mainland of Penang State. I visited this wonderful aviary park with many species of local as well as foreign bird species and bought these bird themed postcards .

Black-shouldered Kite or Lang Tikus on the left. Mailed in March 2008 at a mailbox in Seberang Perai near the Penang Bird Park. Cancelled with "BUTTERWORTH   P.PINANG"

Buffy Fish Owl (Burung Hantu Kuning). In Malaysia, owls are called "Burung Hantu"  which in Malay language is translated as "Ghost Birds". Owls have been reared by provided nesting boxes in oil palm plantation to keep down the rat population. Mailed at Permatang Pauh Post Office on March 2009 - cancellation "BUTTERWORTH  MALAYSIA"
