Seberang Perai. Bukit Mertajam - I visited St. Anne's Church along Jalan Kulim, outside Bukit Mertajam town area. Got the cancellation at the Mini Post Office Jalan Kulim which is located next to the church.

Hotel Hilton Petaling Jaya at Jalan Barat, Petaling Jaya. This old postcard shows the hotel when its name was Jaya Puri. Bought this used postcard.

Selangor is the most industrialized state in Malaysia. A nice postcard of the famous Blue Mosque of Shah Alam. This postcard was sent from the General Post Office of Shah Alam, thanks to KK.

Postcard 9 - JOHOR BAHRU
Johor Bahru. Johor is the southern most state of Peninsular Malaysia and is connected to Singapore by a Second Link Bridge and this Johor Causeway. This is an older postcard sent from Johor Bahru using the stamp depecting "Gunung Ledang" - a mountain in Johor with legendary tale.





Postcard 10 - MELAKA
Melaka or formerly Malacca was founded by the Sumatran Prince Parameswara as a spice port. It later grew to Malacca Empire. In 1511 it was captured by the Portuguese, then later by the Dutch and followed by the English. It was part of the Straits Settlements with Penang and Singapore before in 1957 becoming part of Malaya and later Malaysia. Melaka is now a listed UNESCO World Heritage historical city of the Straits of Malacca. State emblem stamp used. Postcard mailed from Melaka.
