The Semarang Lighthouse was built in 1884 by the Dutch when Indonesa was the East Indies. It is known as Tanjung Emmas, active; focal plane 33 m (108 ft); four white flashes every 20 s. It is 30 m (98 ft) 12-sided cast iron tower with lantern and gallery. Entire lighthouse is painted white. Located on a promontory on the east side of the harbor of Semarang, a major port of central north Java. Site open, tower closed. Nice scouting stamps used.
