Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. This historic church was established in 1877. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was pastor from 1954-1960 and initiated the Montgomery Bus Boycott in the basement of this church after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white passengar in a city bus just because she was black.
